Cheryl Myrick was referred to me about staging this historic home in Marietta, GA. We discussed some of the challenges as well as some of the strengths of this home built in 1867.
Over the years, multiple additions were built onto the original house. The staging challenge was to make this historic home relevant in today’s market, keeping today’s buyer in mind, while maintaining the integrity of the home.
I suggested removing heavy drapes and painting several rooms a neutral color making the rooms feel bigger and brighter. Painting the rooms a neutral color, and removing the dark orange paint, really updated the house for today’s buyer. The home was staged with furniture, accessories, and art. The homeowner and realtor were thrilled with the results.
